Quasi-static and low-velocity impact behavior of intraply hybrid flax/basalt composites [PDF]
In an attempt to increase the low-velocity impact response of natural fiber composites, a new hybrid intraply woven fabric based on flax and basalt fibers has been used to manufacture laminates with both thermoplastic and thermoset matrices.

The Fobinso granitoids are granodiorites, while the Esuajah granitoids are granites based on their mineralogical composition. The granitoids are generally enriched in LILE and LREE than HFSE, MREE, and HREE, indicating mixing with crustal sources during their evolution.

Thermal fluctuation fields in basalts [PDF]
AbstractThe thermal fluctuation field (Hf) is central to thermoremanent acquisition models, which are key to our understanding of the reliability of palaeomagnetic data, however,Hfis poorly quantified for natural systems. We reportHfdeterminations for a range of basalts, made by measuring rate-dependent hysteresis.
