Planar Solid‐State Nanopores Toward Scalable Nanofluidic Integration Based on CMOS Technology
We present a scalable silicon‐based fabrication strategy for planar solid‐state nanopores to enable their integration with complex nanofluidic systems. Prototype devices demonstrate normal voltage‐current characteristics, good noise performance, and appreciable streaming currents. Our CMOS‐compatible fabrication process offers precise geometric control

Land Capability Evaluation of Upper Sekampung Watersheds
Land degradation is a serious problem in the Upper Sekampung Watersheds. This is because the farmers cultivated in steep land to coffee crops without in adequate soil and water conservation practices. The land degradation is mostly caused by erosion.

Some Comments on the Entropy-Based Criteria for Piping
This paper is an extension of previous work which characterises soil behaviours using the grading entropy diagram. The present work looks at the piping process in granular soils, by considering some new data from flood-protection dikes.

Erosion Based Visibility Preprocessing
This paper presents a novel method for computing visibility in 2.5D environments. It is based on a novel theoretical result: the visibility from a region can be conservatively estimated by computing the visibility from a point using appropriately "shrunk" occluders and occludees.

Evaluating the Regional Coastal Impact Potential to Erosion and Inundation Caused by Extreme Weather Events and Tsunamis [PDF]
Hurricanes as the main drivers of coastal erosion and inundation are frequent in the Caribbean region even under consideration of projected continuation of global warming.

core
This study examines how several molten high‐silicon electrical steels interact with both conventional and recycled MgO–C refractories. For this, various immersion experiments are conducted. In addition to infiltration, a number of mechanisms are identified and explained that control the corrosion of the refractory material.

Review on experimental investigation of sediment erosion in hydraulic turbines
Sediment erosion in turbine materials is caused by various flow phenomena. The study of these phenomena can identify suitable measures to minimize their effect on the turbine.

Scale-dependence of lithological control on topography: Bedrock channel geometry and catchment morphometry in western Scotland [PDF]
We propose that a scale-dependent topographic signature of erodibility arises due to fluvial and glacial erosion acting on different parts of the landscape at different times.
