Shape‐Reconfigurable Crack‐Based Strain Sensor with Ultrahigh and Tunable Sensitivity
A highly sensitive crack‐based sensor with tunable strain detection capabilities is demonstrated through controlled nanocrack formation in a line‐patterned shape memory polymer substrate. The sensor design integrates thermoplastic polyurethane and poly(lactic acid), enabling thermo‐responsive reconfiguration of crack geometry.

Considerations for GaN-powered base stations
Convergence of broadband with the wide variety of wireless channels, from Bluetooth through to WiMAX, makes the transmission towers and the base station key elements. The associated antenna and power amplifiers will play an important part in the continuing evolution of communication tools. This feature talks about some of the issues involved.

This study examines the surface characteristics of AlInP (001), crucial for advanced solar cells and photoelectrochemical devices. Using theoretical modeling and experiments, it identifies how phosphorus‐rich and indium‐rich surfaces create mid‐gap states that pin the Fermi level and influence ultrafast electron dynamics.

More about Base Station Location Games [PDF]
This paper addresses the problem of locating base stations in a certain area which is highly populated by mobile stations; each mobile station is assumed to select the closest base station. Base stations are modeled by players who choose their best location for maximizing their uplink throughput.

A novel polymer electrolyte membrane with a hyperbranched interpenetrating hydrogen bond network structure is developed. The unique structure of the hyperbranched polymer contributes to a high glass transition temperature exceeding 400 °C, enabling its operation at elevated temperatures for fuel cell applications.
