On base station localization for state estimation over lossy networks [PDF]
We consider a state estimation problem where observations are made by multiple sensors. These observations are communicated over a lossy wireless network to a central base station that computes estimates via a Kalman filter. The goal is to determine the optimal location of the base station under a certain class of packet loss probability models.

Users of mobile IT systems are calling for ever higher data rates, but such mobile radios are subject to multipath fading and intersymbol interference, often calling for complex equalizers at both ends of each link. Where the links are of short range, they often use time-division duplex.

HKUST‐1/TiO2 composite materials show a very high photocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate which increases as a function of the irradiation time until reaching a plateau and even surpasses the performance of the 1%Pt/TiO2 material after three photocatalytic cycles.

Ternary Transistors With Reconfigurable Polarities
Polarity‐reconfigurable ternary transistors are demonstrated using black phosphorus homojunction with asymmetric contacts and split‐gate structures. Suppression of majority carrier injection, while Fowler–Nordheim tunneling of low‐density minority carriers persists, enables a well‐defined intermediate state with improved on/off ratios.

Deterministic Writing of Field‐Free and Unipolar Spin‐Transfer Torque Magnetic Random‐Access Memory
Deterministic unipolar‐switching STT‐MRAM with field‐free operation is experimentally demonstrated. The device features a compact 4F2 cell architecture using a diode as the access device and a single magnetic tunneling junction. Unlike conventional bipolar switching STT‐MRAM requiring a three‐terminal access transistor in the array, this design offers ...

In this paper, a built‐in electric field (BEF) strategy is proposed to fabricate NiFe‐LDH/antimonene heterostructure as bifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). The formed BEF generates a local potential that reduces the potential for the formation of β‐NiOOH, thereby enabling ultra‐low ...
