Quantitative Sedimentary Basin Modeling

1990
This publication is designed to introduce the concepts and techniques of quantitative modeling of basin subsidence histories. The book also describes some of the methods and results of modeling the development of sedimentary sequences generated by the interaction of subsidence, sediment supply, and sea-level changes.

River basin modelling for Shipra River using MIKE BASIN

ISH Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 2018
In present study, MIKE 11NAM rainfall runoff(R-R) and MIKE BASIN models were used to develop R–R relationship and to analyze the water availability status of the Shipra river basin under changing hydrological conditions. The model was developed using discharge data observed for 9 years at the Ujjain G/d site.

Deepwater Basin Model for the Permian: Delaware Basin Example

International Petroleum Technology Conference, 2013
Abstract The Permian was an unusual time in the Earth's past, a time of continental accretion, falling sea level, and of global cooling. Basins formed at this time hold some of the most prolific petroleum systems in the world, are well studied, yet still hold much mystery with respect to their relationship between ...

From basin modelling to basin management: reuse of basin-scale simulations

2000
A series of regional basin-modelling studies performed in the Norwegian sector of the northern North Sea through the last 10 years is reviewed to show how excessive rework is avoided by taking advantage of previously completed studies. The modelling approach investigated features fully quantitative modelling of basin processes that control the ...

Modeling a Bioinfiltration Basin

Impacts of Global Climate Change, 2005
An existing traffic island at Villanova University was retrofitted to become a bioinfiltration BMP serving a drainage area of 1.3 acres, one-half of which is impervious parking and roadway area. It is part of the Villanova Urban Stormwater Partnership Best Management Demonstration Park.

Basin Modeling of Tadla Basin, Morocco, for Hydrocarbon Potential

AAPG Bulletin, 1988
The Tadla basin, Morocco, is the easternmost major structural subdivision of the Meseta south of the Central Massif. After the basin remained relatively stable through the Paleozoic, movements during the Variscan orogeny divided the basin into two subbasins, a western subbasin where compressional forces formed large anticlines and an eastern subbasin ...

Modeling Basin Subsidence and Stratigraphy: Blake Plateau Basin: ABSTRACT

AAPG Bulletin, 1983
Blake Plateau basin on the continental margin off Georgia and Florida contains 12 to 13 km (39,000 to 43,00 ft) of Jurassic and younger sedimentary rock. Although such thicknesses of strata are common to sedimentary basins off the eastern United States, the Blake Plateau basin is underlain by unusually thick basement rocks (20 to 24 km; 66,000 to 79 ...
