Recognizing Sets in Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization
Among Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization Algorithms (EMOA) there are many which find only Paretooptimal solutions. These may not be enough in case of multimodal problems and non-connected Pareto fronts, where more information about the shape of ...

Basins of attraction in nonsmooth models of gear rattle
This paper is concerned with the computation of the basins of attraction of a simple one degree-of-freedom backlash oscillator using cell-to-cell mapping techniques. This analysis is motivated by the modeling of order vibration in geared systems.

A Novel Mega-stable Chaotic Circuit [PDF]
In recent years designing new multistable chaotic oscillators has been of noticeable interest. A multistable system is a double-edged sword which can have many benefits in some applications while in some other situations they can be even dangerous.

Abstract Basins of Attraction [PDF]
Abstract basins appear naturally in different areas of several complex variables. In this survey we want to describe three different topics in which they play an important role, leading to interesting open problems.

We consider the following system of difference equations: xn+1=xn2/B1xn2+C1yn2, yn+1=yn2/A2+B2xn2+C2yn2, n=0, 1, …, where B1, C1, A2, B2, C2 are positive constants and x0, y0≥0 are initial conditions.

On Targeted Control over Trajectories of Dynamical Systems Arising in Models of Complex Networks
The question of targeted control over trajectories of systems of differential equations encountered in the theory of genetic and neural networks is considered. Examples are given of transferring trajectories corresponding to network states from the basin

A Borane Sandwich Analogue of Ferrocene
The first ferrocene analogue with two boron‐based ligands is identified through a global exploration of the FeB10H20 potential energy surface. The η5,η5‐Fe(B5H10)2 complex emerges as the global minimum, showing that metal coordination inverts borane stability and enables aromatic boron rings inaccessible in isolation.

A New Three-Step Root-Finding Numerical Method and Its Fractal Global Behavior
There is an increasing demand for numerical methods to obtain accurate approximate solutions for nonlinear models based upon polynomials and transcendental equations under both single and multivariate variables. Keeping in mind the high demand within the

Estimation of the basin of attractions in CNNs
Summary: A technique is discussed in order to find an estimation of the basin of attraction for each stable equilibrium point in cellular neural networks. The technique is based on the determination of the direction of the trajectories for each of the regions in which the state space is devided via the piecewise linear output function of each cell.
