Investigation on the mechanical behavior of the multiple‐layered lining structure of a water conveyance tunnel with high internal water pressure

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study presents large‐scale similarity model testing (geometric ratio 3.6) of an innovative multiple‐layered lining system—comprising exterior precast segments, middle self‐compacting concrete, and an interior steel pipe—for high‐pressure (0.75 MPa) water conveyance tunnels.

Steel segment–anchor bolt (cable) structure for TBM tunnels under extremely intense rockburst conditions: Design method and field application

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract presents a steel segment–anchorage support system for open TBM tunnels under extremely intense rockburst conditions. The steel segment resists dynamic impact, while the anchorage structure restrains segment deformation and transfers loads into the rock.

Selecting appropriate hydraulic fracturing methods for wells in deep and tight fractured sandstone reservoirs

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Deep and tight sandstone reservoirs require hydraulic fracturing treatment to enhance production, even in the presence of natural fractures. In the oil and gas industry, two commonly used methods are open‐hole multistage fracturing (MSF) and cased‐hole perforation fracturing. Both methods can fail or underperform in deep and tight reservoirs.

Research Update: A Systematic Review of the Relationship Between Eating Disorder Symptoms and Parental Socioeconomic Status (SES) Among Adolescents

open access: yesInternational Journal of Eating Disorders, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Eating disorders (EDs) have long been viewed as disorders affecting higher socioeconomic groups, yet recent evidence shows they occur across all backgrounds. This systematic review and meta‐analysis aims to evaluate the relationship between parental socioeconomic status (SES) and ED symptoms in adolescents in the general population ...

Disentangling functional spaces: a multidimensional framework for ecology and conservation

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Trait‐based ecology often relies on a single functional space, where diverse traits are combined into one multivariate framework. While convenient, this approach risks masking ecological strategies because variance is often dominated by a few traits, such as body size.
