Abstract Mycophagous invertebrates can significantly impact the efficacy of fungal biocontrol agents; yet the interaction between these agents and Sancassania polyphyllae (Acari: Acaridae), commonly found in soil ecosystems, remains poorly understood. Our study demonstrates that Sa.

By selecting larvae for fast growth at 35°C, we obtained a new black soldier fly (BSF) strain with a faster life cycle and no fitness trade‐offs. This shows how selective breeding can improve BSF for large‐scale, sustainable production of insect protein. ABSTRACT In response to the growing demand for sustainable protein sources, insect mass rearing has

Hubungan antara Zea mays L., Ostrinia furnacalis (Lep.:Pyralidae) dan Beauveria bassiana Vuill.
Connection between Zea mays L., Ostrinia furnacalis (Lep.:Pyralidae) and Beauveria bassiana Vuill. The entomopatogen fungus, Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo), is obtained in the tissue of corn plant through submersion of seed in cinidia 1010/ml.

Pilot field studies on insect pathogenic fungi to control mirid pests of apples in Norway [PDF]
In a pilot field study conducted in an apple orchard in Hardanger (Western Norway) in two succesive years both Beauveria bassiana and Metarhizium anisopliae were applied to apple trees just after hatching of mirid nymphs in spring.

Entomopathogenic fungi, Metarhizium anisopliae and Beauveria bassiana reduce the survival of Xenopsylla brasiliensis larvae (Siphonaptera: Pulicidae). [PDF]
Entomopathogenic fungi, particularly those belonging to the genera Metarhizium and Beauveria have shown great promise as arthropod vector control tools. These agents, however, have not been evaluated against flea vectors of plague.

Beauveria bassiana: Biocontrol Beyond Lepidopteran Pests
Beauveria bassiana has been extensively employed since the last century for biocontrol of lepidopteran pests. B. bassiana has also been explored for diverse functions including bioremediation of toxic industrial effluents and heavy-metal polluted soils.

Optimized submerged fermentation of Clonostachys rosea under high aeration enhances production of submerged conidia and microsclerotia. Formulated propagules and antifungal metabolites, including sorbicillinoids, effectively control tomato gray mold, offering a promising strategy for biocontrol product development.
