The NSP5, ORF6 and NSP13 of SARS‐CoV‐2 Cooperate to Modulate Inflammatory Cell Death Activation
ZBP1 is capable of initiating a large cell death complex to induce programmed cell death during SARS‐CoV‐2 infection. However, SARS‐CoV‐2 can inhibit the activation of ZBP1‐mediated cell death by targeting key components of this complex. This suppression of ZBP1‐mediated cell death may account for the increased mortality observed in patients co ...

Bats and Buildings: The Conservation of Synanthropic Bats [PDF]
Humans have shared buildings with bats for thousands of years, probably as early as first humans built primitive huts. Indeed, many bat species can be defined as synanthropic, i.e., they have a strong ecological association with humans. Bats have been observed using buildings as roosting and foraging sites, temporary shelters, for reproduction and ...

Predictors and immunological correlates of sublethal mercury exposure in vampire bats [PDF]
Mercury (Hg) is a pervasive heavy metal that often enters the environment from anthropogenic sources such as gold mining and agriculture. Chronic exposure to Hg can impair immune function, reducing the ability of animals to resist or recover from ...

A titanium implant coating integrating berberine and copper‐doped strontium titanate leverages ultrasound to compromise bacterial membranes and induce cuproptosis‐like death. This approach resolves S. aureus infections in osteomyelitis models while suppressing inflammation and promoting osseointegration, demonstrating a dual‐functional strategy against

Testing the Epeak - Eiso relation for GRBs detected by Swift and Suzaku-WAM [PDF]
One of the most prominent, yet controversial associations derived from the ensemble of prompt-phase observations of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) is the apparent correlation in the source frame between the peak energy Epeak) of the nu-F(nu) spectrum and the ...

NamiRNA‐Enhancer Network: The Changing Era Challenge and Chance of miRNA
MiRNAs (miRNAs) regulate diverse biological processes across species. Unlike canonical miRNA‐mediated gene repression, Nuclear Activating miRNAs (NamiRNAs) can efficiently upregulate gene expression by targeting enhancers. This review systematically summarizes recent advances in NamiRNA research, elucidates the theory of NamiRNA‐Enhancer‐mediated Gene ...
