INTEGRATED BATCH-TO-BATCH ITERATIVE LEARNING CONTROL AND WITHIN BATCH CONTROL OF PRODUCT QUALITY FOR BATCH PROCESSES

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2005
Abstract An integrated strategy for the tracking control of product qualities in batch processes is proposed by combing batch-to-batch iterative learning control (ILC) with on-line shrinking horizon model predictive control (SHMPC) within a batch.

A neural network-based strategy for the integrated batch-to-batch control and within-batch control of batch processes

Transactions of the Institute of Measurement and Control, 2005
An integrated batch-to-batch control and within-batch re-optimization control strategy for batch processes using neural network models is presented in this paper. In order to overcome the difficulties in developing detailed mechanistic models, neural network models are developed from process operation data.

Batch to Batch Iterative Learning Control of a Fed-Batch Fermentation Process

2012
Batch to batch iterative learning control of a fed-batch fermentation process is studied in this paper. Taking the immediate previous batch as the reference batch, a linearised model relating the deviations in the control profiles with the deviations in the quality variable trajectories is obtained.
