Long-term and large-scale modeling of mega-nourishments [PDF]
The Sand Engine, ZM (Zandmotor), is a hook-shaped mega-nourishment (21.5 millions m³) located on the Dutch coast with an alongshore length of 2.4 km and an offshore extension of 1 km.

Crater lakes in core regions of former ice sheets have the potential to preserve long‐term sedimentary archives that are otherwise rare in glaciated landscapes due to pervasive glacial erosion. Lake Wiyâshâkimî, an impact crater lake located in the inner core of the Québec‐Labrador Dome of the Laurentide Ice Sheet, provides a rare example of such a ...

There are numerous examples of long-lived, surface-intensified anticyclones over submarine depressions and troughs in the ocean. These often co-exist with a large-scale cyclonic circulation. The latter is predicted by existing barotropic theory but the anticyclone is not.

Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary Habitat Mapping: Survey report and classification of side scan sonar data from surveys HMPR-114-2004-02 and HMPR-116-2005-01. [PDF]
The Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary (OCNMS) continues to invest significant resources into seafloor mapping activities along Washington’s outer coast (Intelmann and Cochrane 2006; Intelmann et al. 2006; Intelmann 2006).

This paper presents the results of a dual approach for assessing fossil benthic foraminiferal communities using both traditional morphology‐based analyses and sedimentary ancient DNA (sedaDNA) metabarcoding. The main objectives are to test the feasibility of sedaDNA analyses to assess foraminiferal biodiversity in temperate shelf sediments (Le Croisic,

Exploring the links between Large Igneous Provinces and dramatic environmental impact
An emerging consensus suggests that Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) and Silicic LIPs (SLIPs) are a significant driver of dramatic global environmental and biological changes, including mass extinctions.

Bathymetry of Lake Bogoria, Kenya
This paper presents the first bathymetric map for the approximately 17 km by 2 km alkaline Lake Bogoria situated in the eastern Rift Valley of Kenya. Longitudinal and transverse cross sections of the lake are also provided. Northern, central and southern basins of the lake had maximum depths of 5.9 m, 10.2 m and 8.4 m respectively.

Shoreline and deglaciation chronology in southeast Norway
The postglacial relative sea level history is reconstructed in four areas of mid‐ and inner Oslofjorden in southeast Norway. The reconstructions are based on radiocarbon‐dated raised shoreline levels from 42 sites, mainly isolation basins, and limiting ages from four lakes above the marine limit.
