Lake bathymetry, Samoylov Island, Lena Delta
The folder Lake_Points contains the different lake-shapefiles. Each file has bathymetry- and shoreline-points for the interpolation. Shoreline points have heights of 0 meter. For the interpolation we used the toolbox Spatial Analyst of ArcMap 10.2.

ABSTRACT The dynamic nature of small islands being geographically isolated and their perceived connectedness with global networks complicates research attempts to draw general conclusions on whether insularity leads to marginalization or strengthens their resilience for sustainable development.

Nonlinear black-box approaches and data fusion for ocean bathymetry modeling in south Iran
The detailed knowledge of bathymetry pattern represents a key factor in the deep understanding of ocean processes, physical oceanography, biology, ecohydraulics, and marine geology. However, the accuracy of bathymetry modeling is still low from satellite

Deep blueprint: A literature review and guide to automated image classification for ecologists
A practical, literature‐grounded review that gives ecologists a clear, modular workflow for deep learning image classification. With code, GUIs and a novel deep sea case study (automated deep sea biotope classification) it lowers technical barriers and provides a usable blueprint for accelerating, standardising, and scaling ecological image analysis ...

300 Years of Degradation in Wales Estuaries and Coasts
ABSTRACT The world's oceans are in a severe state of degradation, yet our understanding of that degradation is often based on changes observed only in the past 20–50 years. This narrow view leads to marine conservation efforts that aim to preserve already degraded ecosystems, shaped by shifted ecological baselines.

Climate change and anthropogenic activities drive antagonistic degradation of landscape connectivity for endangered François’ langur (1987–2024), causing 48.8% habitat loss, north‐south fragmentation, and centroid migration (1.2 km/yr). Despite protected areas buffering connectivity, static management fails dynamic priority habitats; we propose ...

Band Weight-Optimized BiGRU Model for Large-Area Bathymetry Inversion Using Satellite Images
Currently, using satellite images combined with deep learning models has become an efficient approach for bathymetry inversion. However, only limited bands are usually used for bathymetry inversion in most methods, and they rarely applied for large-area ...
