Effects of annealing atmosphere on photorefractive BaTiO 3

SPIE Proceedings, 2002
Nominally undoped BaTiO3 crystals, processed in atmospheres of various oxygen partial pressure at 900 degree(s)C and 1000 degree(s)C, respectively, were fabricated and systematically investigated. The photorefractive properties are sequentially controlled by the factor from dark decay, deep/shallow trap, deep/shallow trap with hole/electron competition

Origins Of The Photorefractive Effect In BaTiO 3

SPIE Proceedings, 1985
We have used a number of experimental techniques to identify the photorefractive species in commercial samples of BaTiO3. We find that iron impurities (in the Fe and Fe states) are the most likely sodrce of photorefractive effect, although other transition metal impurities may also contribute.

Epitaxial BaTiO3crystals

Ferroelectrics, 1994
Abstract Epitaxial crystals of BaTiO3 have been grown by activated reactive evaporation. The ultra-thin crystal less than 100A thickness shows an elongation along the c-direction. The ferroelectric phase transition of the thin films is discussed in terms of the epitaxial effect and the surface layer.

BaTiO3 as a Biased Paraelectric

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1985
With the assumption that the ferroelectric tetragonal phase of BaTiO3 can be treated as a biased cubic phase, we have found the temperature dependence of the electrooptic coefficient and the electrostrictive coefficient.

Interface control in BaTiO 3 based supercapacitors

SPIE Proceedings, 2010
Core shell BaTiO 3 based particles sintered using advanced processes provide a high control of grain boundaries in bulk composites. As a result, supercapacitor behavior was evidenced which came from the balance between inner grain conductivity and grain boundary dielectric barrier.

Solubility of BaO in BaTiO 3

Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1985
The solubility and mode of incorporation for BaO in BaTiO 3 were studied by X‐ray powder diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopy, electron probe microanalysis, and equilibrium electrical conductivity measurements. The presence of barium orthotitanate, Ba

Optimal BaTiO3 BaTiO3 Cluster Formation for High Performance Piezoelectric Nanogenerators

ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2014
Several piezoelectric materials, including ZnO, BaTiO3, and PZT, have been widely investigated to develop high performance piezoelectric nanogenerators (NGs).1-3 In particular, the NGs based on BaTiO3 (BTO) nanoparticles (NPs) are of interest due to their excelling piezoelectric properties and environmentally safe nature.

Fabrication and piezoelectric properties of BaTiO 3 /BaTiO 3 -Bi(Mg 1/2 Ti 1/2 )O 3 -BiFeO 3 composites

Ceramics International, 2018
Abstract We fabricated xBaTiO3 (BT)/(1-x)[BaTiO3-Bi(Mg1/2Ti1/2)O3-BiFeO3] (BT-BMT-BF) + 0.1 wt%MnCO3 composites by spark plasma sintering and investigated the effect of BT content x, BT powder size, and BT-BMT-BF composition on piezoelectric properties.

Curie Temperature of BaTiO3

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1995
The Curie point (T C) of BaTiO3 was earlier reported to be 120° C and has been recently believed to be 130° C. Some experiments have been performed here to reconfirm the T C. Firing conditions used for preparing BaTiO3 were examined first with the use of pure BaCO3 or Ba(NO3)2 and TiO2.

Soft phonon in BaTiO3

Ferroelectrics, 1992
Abstract It is of course my greatest honor and pleasure that the international journal “Ferroelectrics” has published the “Nakamura Special Issue” on “Structural Phase Transitions in Ferroelectronics and their Related Materials.” celebrating my sixty ninth birthday.
