Fast method for assessing binder migration in lithium-ion battery electrodes using glow discharge-sector field-mass spectrometry

open access: yesCommunications Chemistry
A high amount of energy needed for the production of lithium-ion batteries is used for the drying and solvent recovery of N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) in electrodes with polyvinylidene fluoride-based binder (PVdF) systems.

Study on the electrical-thermal properties of lithium-ion battery materials in the NCM622/graphite system

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry
The phenomenon of fire or even explosion caused by thermal runaway of lithium-ion power batteries poses a serious threat to the safety of electric vehicles. An in-depth study of the core-material thermal runaway reaction mechanism and reaction chain is a

Cycling capacity fade analysis of 3 Ah high nickel/SiOx-C pouch cells

open access: yesCailiao gongcheng, 2022
With the development of electric vehicles, higher requirements for battery energy density are put forward. High nickel/SiOx-C batteries with high energy density have become the first choice for long-range electric vehicles.

Golgi enzymes are retrieved from the plasma membrane to the trans‐Golgi network

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Golgi enzymes are traditionally considered resident proteins retained within the Golgi apparatus. Here, we demonstrate that a subset transiently reaches the cell surface and is subsequently retrieved to the trans‐Golgi network via retrograde transport. Using a nanobody‐based toolkit, we uncover a dynamic trafficking cycle of several Golgi enzymes.

Comparing the Effect of Semi‐Immersive Virtual Reality, Computerized Cognitive Training, and Traditional Rehabilitation on Cognitive Function in Multiple Sclerosis: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Cognitive impairment is a common non‐motor symptom in Multiple Sclerosis (MS), negatively affecting autonomy and Quality of Life (QoL). Innovative rehabilitation strategies, such as semi‐immersive virtual reality (VR) and computerized cognitive training (CCT), may offer advantages over traditional cognitive rehabilitation (TCR ...

Effects of PVdF Binder Molecular Weight and Active Material Morphology on Processing, Structure, and Performance of LiNi0.6Mn0.2Co0.2O2‐Based Positive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy & Sustainability Research
Polyvinylidene difluoride (PVdF) is the most common binding agent for positive electrodes in lithium ion batteries. However, its processing solvent N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP) poses safety and environmental risks and regulations increasingly demand its ...

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

Aqueous Processing of Ni‐Rich Layered Oxides: Impact of Native Surface Layer on Crystal Water and Feasible Sulfate‐Based Processing Additive Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Energy & Sustainability Research
Aqueous processing of conventional Ni‐rich layered oxide cathodes (here LiNi0.83Co0.12Mn0.05O2, NCM) can be a sustainable alternative to conventional organic solvent‐based processing. However, the LiOH‐based native surface layer of NCM dissolves in water

Evaluation of Digital Technologies for Home‐Based Assessment in People With Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Digital technologies hold promise for transforming healthcare by enhancing personalized treatments and offer valuable opportunities to improve patient care. Here, we evaluated several novel, self‐administered, home‐based, digital endpoints for their association with corresponding conventional standard clinical measures (primary) in ...
