Morphology‐Controlled Silica Nanoparticle Coatings for Transparent Radiative Cooling

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Transparent radiative cooling coatings are achieved by immobilizing solid and hollow silica spheres on glass. Particle morphology within sub‐monolayer coatings is shown to govern the trade‐off between visible and atmospheric window reflectance. Hollow‐sphere structures enable reduced thermal emission losses while preserving transparency, highlighting ...

A Family of Sodium Solid‐State Electrolytes Based on the NaGaxAl1‐xCl4 Solid Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sodium‐based metal chloride solid electrolytes are promising for sodium solid‐state batteries due to their excellent oxidation stability, which, as shown for Li halides, can coexist with high ionic conductivity. To explore cationic substitution effects, we synthesized NaGaxAl1‐xCl4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) via ball milling and investigated structural and ...

Multiscale Imaging Methodology for Surface Morphological Changes in Lithium Metal Anode Using Coupled Operando OM and In Situ EC‐AFM

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A sequential multiscale imaging methodology integrates operando optical microscopy with in situ electrochemical atomic force microscopy to characterize lithium anode surface evolution during galvanostatic cycling under dual current densities. This unified approach enhances measurement consistency through correlative micro‐to‐nanoscale visualization ...

Electrochemically Engineered PEDOT:PSS/MXene Composite Electrode for the Label‐Free Procalcitonin Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Procalcitonin is a key biomarker for bacterial infections, but conventional detection methods are often time‐consuming. Here, we present an electrochemical sensor based on highly conductive Ti3C2Tx MXene combined with PEDOT:PSS, enabling direct antibody immobilization, while a bovine serum albumin coating provides antifouling protection.
