Flavonols from Bauhinia malabarica
Journal of Natural Medicines, 2008Bauhinia malabarica Roxb. has been used in Thai traditional medicine for wound healing, as a diuretic, to fight dysentery and as an emmenagogue. Seven flavonols, including 6,8-di-C-methylkaempferol 3-methyl ether, kaempferol, afzelin, quercetin, isoquercitrin, quercitrin, and hyperoside were isolated from the methanol extract of leaves.

Biodiesel production from Bauhinia variegata seeds oil using homogeneous catalyst
Petroleum science and technology, 2021At present, a large amount of biodiesel is produced from the non-edible and waste cooking oils using alcohol and catalyst (acid, alkaline). The free fatty acids in the oils react fast with the alkaline catalyst to produce soap that inhibits the reaction.
