In this study, anisotropic non-proportional hardening behaviour of the sheet metals with different crystalline structures is investigated. The investigated materials particularly exhibit the Bauschinger effect and complex transient hardening behaviour ...

Bauschinger effect and coercivity in dual-phase steels
Initial flow stresses and coercivities during and after tension and tension plus compression in ferrite-martensite dual phase steels have been measured. It was found that both parameters for tension plus compression are smaller than those for tension only. For the flow stress, this phenomenon is called Bauschinger effect.

A viscoplasticity model with an enhanced control of the yield surface distortion
A new model of metal viscoplasticity, which takes combined isotropic, kinematic, and distortional hardening into account, is presented. The basic modeling assumptions are illustrated using a new two-dimensional rheological analogy.

Based on the transition state theory, a continuum plasticity theory is developed for metallic materials. Moreover, the nature of local stress fluctuation within a material point is considered by incorporating the probability distribution of the stresses.
