Safety and efficacy of BAY 94‐9027, a prolonged‐half‐life factor VIII
Essentials Recombinant factor VIII BAY 94‐9027 conjugates in a site‐specific manner with polyethylene glycol. BAY 94‐9027 was given to patients with severe hemophilia A as prophylaxis and to treat bleeds. BAY 94‐9027 prevented bleeds at dose intervals up

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

The suppression of Antarctic bottom water formation by melting ice shelves in Prydz Bay
A fourth production region for the globally important Antarctic bottom water has been attributed to dense shelf water formation in the Cape Darnley Polynya, adjoining Prydz Bay in East Antarctica.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Biological characteristics of the catch from the 1986-87 Pacific herring, Clupea harengus pallasi, roe fishery in California [PDF]
In Tomales Bay, 4-, 5-, and 6-yr-old herring, Clupea harengus pallasi, composed 85% by number of the 1986-87 season's catch. In San Francisco Bay, 2-, 3-, and 4-yr-old herring composed 88% of the roundhaul catch, and 4-, 5-, and 6-yr-old herring composed

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Sediment dynamics in adjacent bays of Fujian during late-spring spring tide
Bays are active land–sea transition zones where the internal hydrodynamic processes control the material exchange between the bay and open sea. Yet, the differences and potential connectivity of those processes between adjacent bays and off-bay areas ...

Biomass estimates of Pacific herring, Clupea pallasi, in California from the 1990-91 spawning-ground surveys [PDF]
The spawning biomass of Pacific herring, Clupea pallasi, estimated from spawning-ground surveys in San Francisco Bay declined to 45,850 tons this season, following a peak of 71,000 tons in the 1989-90 season. This is the first major decline since the
