MXene‐Based Room‐Temperature NO2 Gas Sensors: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents the first comprehensive meta‐analysis of MXene‐based NO2 sensors, decoding 32 study characteristics across 61 peer‐reviewed studies. By isolating materials chemistry as the primary performance driver over device‐level parameters, the authors establish a methodological blueprint and a predictive structure–function map to accelerate ...

Highly‐Time‐Resolved Measurements of Tryptophan's Distribution and Homeostatic Regulation in Live, Intact Animals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using a novel, aptamer‐based biosensor, here we have performed 20‐s‐resolved, in situ measurements of plasma‐free tryptophan in the jugular veins of live rats (blue). This unprecedented time‐resolution provides insights into the regulation of tryptophan metabolism in live, intact animals.

A Bayesian Measure of Model Accuracy

open access: yesEntropy
Ensuring that the proposed probabilistic model accurately represents the problem is a critical step in statistical modeling, as choosing a poorly fitting model can have significant repercussions on the decision-making process.

Population size estimation of transgender women and men in Bhutan.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2022
IntroductionTransgender persons experience health disparities and are marginalized in many societies worldwide. Even their numbers are unknown in many countries. We conducted the first effort to estimate the population size of transgender women (TGW) and

Estimation for Entropy and Parameters of Generalized Bilal Distribution under Adaptive Type II Progressive Hybrid Censoring Scheme

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
Entropy measures the uncertainty associated with a random variable. It has important applications in cybernetics, probability theory, astrophysics, life sciences and other fields. Recently, many authors focused on the estimation of entropy with different

Probing the Energy Landscape of α‐Synuclein Amyloid Fibril Formation by Systematic K‐to‐Q Mutagenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We use lysine‐to‐glutamine mutations to study the effect of electrostatics on the kinetics and thermodynamics of alpha‐synuclein amyloid fibril formation. We find that mutational effects map on their structural context within fibrils and identify residues that modulate the energy landscape of alpha‐synuclein self‐assembly. Our work outlines a scalable,

An Integrated Artificial Intelligence Framework for Nanomedicine Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review outlines a closed‐loop AI ecosystem for nanomedicine engineering. By synergizing multimodal data harmonization, objective‐driven AI architectures, and automated high‐throughput validation, this “Design‐Make‐Test‐Analyze” (DMTA) workflow transforms traditional heuristic formulation into a predictive, self‐optimizing paradigm, accelerating ...

Analysis of the Behrens-Fisher Problem Based on Bayesian Evidence

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
The Behrens-Fisher problem concerns the inferences for the difference between the means of two normal populations without making any assumption about the variances.

Differentiated Impacts of EU Rural Development Measures: A Finite Mixture Evaluation of Italian Olive Farms

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper examines the relationship between participation in the EU Rural Development Program and the economic performance of Italian olive farms using a finite‐mixture model with inverse‐probability‐weighted regression adjustment. Based on 2010–2022 FADN panel data, it estimates heterogeneous treatment effects while correcting for selection ...

Assessing Credibility in Bayesian Networks Structure Learning

open access: yesEntropy
Learning Bayesian networks from data aims to create a Directed Acyclic Graph that encodes significant statistical relationships between variables and their joint probability distributions. However, when using real-world data with limited knowledge of the
