A Bayesian Approach to the Naming Game Model
We present a novel Bayesian approach to semiotic dynamics, which is a cognitive analog of the naming game model restricted to two conventions. The model introduced in this paper provides a general framework for studying the combined effects of cognitive ...

Games of strategic complementarities: an application to Bayesian games [PDF]
This paper provides an introduction to the theory of games of strategic complementarities, considers Bayesian games, and provides an application to global games.

Bayesian Quadratic Network Game Filters [PDF]
A repeated network game where agents have quadratic utilities that depend on information externalities -- an unknown underlying state -- as well as payoff externalities -- the actions of all other agents in the network -- is considered. Agents play Bayesian Nash Equilibrium strategies with respect to their beliefs on the state of the world and the ...

Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

On the Existence of Nash Equilibrium in Bayesian Games [PDF]
We furnish conditions on the primitives of a Bayesian game that guarantee the existence of a Bayes-Nash equilibrium. By allowing for payoff discontinuities in actions, we cover various applications that cannot be handled by extant results.

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Designing computer games to educate students is not a new technique. Not all disciplines, however, embed the same degree of cognitive load, and not all game design approaches are appropriate across contexts.

A graphical method for simplifying Bayesian games [PDF]
If the influence diagram (ID) depicting a Bayesian game is common knowledge to its players then additional assumptions may allow the players to make use of its embodied irrelevance statements. They can then use these to discover a simpler game which still embodies both their optimal decision policies.
