Trans-dimensional Bayesian inversion of airborne transient EM data from Taylor Glacier, Antarctica

open access: yesGeophysical Journal International, 2018
Conventional regularized non-linear inversion methods for estimating electrical conductivity from observed electromagnetic data seek to find a single model that fits the data while minimizing a user-imposed model regularization norm.

A phenomap of TTR amyloidosis to aid diagnostic screening

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1113-1118, April 2025.
Abstract Cardiac amyloidosis due to transthyretin (ATTR) remains an underdiagnosed cause of cardiomyopathy. As awareness of the disease grows and referrals for ATTR increase, clinicians are likely to encounter more atypical forms of the condition in clinical practice.

Source Sector Attribution of CO2 Emissions Using an Urban CO/CO2 Bayesian Inversion System

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, 2018
We assimilate multiple trace gas species within a single high‐resolution Bayesian inversion system to optimize CO2ff emissions for individual source sectors.

Ictal–interictal continuum and status epilepticus: Two sides of the same coin? A prospective magnetic resonance imaging study

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Status epilepticus (SE) is the most severe expression of seizures, encompassing both SE with prominent motor symptoms and nonconvulsive SE (NCSE). Ictal–interictal continuum (IIC), an electroencephalographic phenomenon, is characterized by periodic discharges (PD), spike‐and‐waves or sharp‐and‐waves (SW), or lateralized rhythmic ...

Waves of Uncertainty: Crude Oil Under Geopolitical, Economic, and ESG Turbulence

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Dynamic copula and wavelet coherence reveal that geopolitical, economic, and sustainability uncertainties significantly shape crude oil price co‐movements. Long‐term coherence, especially post‐2015, highlights the growing role of ESG risks alongside geopolitical shocks and economic crises in global energy risk transmission.

A Novel Bayesian Geophysical Inversion Method to Address Loss Function Bias: The Iterative Normalizing Flows Model

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Machine Learning and Computation
Geophysical inversion plays a pivotal role in understanding the Earth's internal structure. Recently generative neural networks (GNNs), such as normalizing flows models (NFMs), have gained popularity for solving Bayesian inversion problems.
