$\varepsilon$-Lukasiewicz fuzzy UP (BCC)-subalgebras of UP (BCC)-algebras

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics
The idea of Lukasiewicz $t$-norm is used to construct the concept of $\varepsilon$-Lukasiewicz fuzzy sets based on a given fuzzy set. The $\varepsilon$-Lukasiewicz fuzzy sets are applied to UP (BCC)-algebras. Moreover, the notion of $\varepsilon$-Lukasiewicz fuzzy UP (BCC)-subalgebras is introduced, and its various properties are investigated.

Post‐Processed CMIP6 Climate Projections for Hydro‐Environmental Risk Assessment in the Middle East and Central Asia

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, EarlyView.
Estimating water resources is important for regional climate impact analysis and risk estimation. The Middle East and Central Asia have largely reached the limit of sustainably usable water across their river basins and ecosystems. Strategies designed to mitigate environmental risks require a reliable estimation of water availability trends.

Diversity and random forest models of oral microbiomes in periodontal health using publicly available data

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Evidence on the 16S metabarcoding of supragingival, subgingival, and salivary microbiomes in periodontal health remains limited. We aimed to analyze the diversity and potential of machine‐learning models of supragingival, subgingival, and salivary microbiomes in periodontal health. Methods A total of 848 samples (supragingival = 210;

The influence of flap design on the relevance of biomaterials in regenerative periodontal surgery

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The aim of this systematic review was to explore whether the benefits of biomaterials in periodontal regenerative/reconstructive surgery are affected by the type of flap employed. The study addresses the existing gap in the evidence to substantiate the beneficial effect of minimal invasive periodontal surgical approach compared to a

Diagnostic modulation of subgingival proteomic biomarkers by age and smoking habits in periodontitis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Although age and smoking influence the periodontal proteome, their impact on subgingival biomarkers for diagnosing periodontitis remains unclear. This multicenter study assessed their influence on subgingival proteins for disease detection.

Deep Learning‐Based Skin Lesion Classification

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, EarlyView.
High‐frequency ultrasound (HFUS) is valuable for assessing skin lesions, supporting diagnosis, treatment monitoring, and surgical planning. This study evaluates deep learning models for binary classification of HFUS images acquired in B‐mode and Doppler mode.

Underrepresentation of Black Individuals in Basal Cell and Squamous Cell Carcinoma Clinical Trials: A Comparison to an Insurance Claimant Cohort

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
Black patients are significantly underrepresented in skin cancer clinical trials, with 85% and 66% of Black patients with basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, respectively, unrepresented in trials. This limits the generalizability of trial results to Black patients, further exacerbating health inequity.

Delayed Time to First Skin Cancer Among Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Recipients With Chronic Cutaneous Graft‐Versus‐Host Disease

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipients face an increased risk of cutaneous malignancies. Chronic cutaneous graft‐versus‐host disease (cGVHD), specific to allogeneic HSCT (alloHSCT), has been proposed to further elevate this risk, though its impact on skin cancer latency and distribution remains unclear.
