Prevalence of palate-gingival groove in patients of Dhulikhel Hospital

open access: yesJournal of College of Medical Sciences-Nepal, 2015
Background: Palato-gingival groove is a rare developmental anomaly leading to pulpal and periodontal diseases. Radicular extensions of these grooves are areas for plaque accumulation which are difficult to clean.

Rotation and variability of very low mass stars and brown dwarfs near Epsilon Ori

open access: yes, 2004
We explore the rotation and activity of very low mass (VLM) objects by means of a photometric variability study. Our targets in the vicinity of Epsilon Ori belong to the OriOB1b population in the Orion star-forming complex. In this region we selected 143

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Evaluation of BDS/GPS Multi-Frequency RTK Positioning Performance under Different Baseline Lengths

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
The BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) is fully operational and provides positioning, navigation, and timing services to users worldwide. To comprehensively evaluate the BeiDou-3 Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3) global real-time kinematic (RTK ...

Highly multiplexed digital PCR assay for simultaneous quantification of variant allele frequencies and copy number alterations of KRAS and GNAS in pancreatic cancer precursors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining melting curve analysis enhances the multiplexing capability of digital PCR. Here, we developed a 14‐plex assay to simultaneously measure single nucleotide mutations and amplifications of KRAS and GNAS, which are common driver genes in pancreatic cancer precursors. This assay accurately quantified variant allele frequencies in clinical samples

New Brown Dwarfs and an Updated Initial Mass Function in Taurus

open access: yes, 2004
I have performed a search for young low-mass stars and brown dwarfs (BDs) in 2 regions encompassing a total area of 4 deg^2 in the Taurus star-forming region, discovering 15 new members of Taurus.

Multidimensional OMICs reveal ARID1A orchestrated control of DNA damage, splicing, and cell cycle in normal‐like and malignant urothelial cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the frequently mutated chromatin remodeler ARID1A, a subunit of the SWI/SNF cBAF complex, results in less open chromatin, alternative splicing, and the failure to stop cells from progressing through the cell cycle after DNA damage in bladder (cancer) cells. Created in BioRender. Epigenetic regulators, such as the SWI/SNF complex, with important

Forecasting Crude Oil Futures Prices [PDF]

open access: yesفصلنامه پژوهش‌های اقتصادی ایران, 2005
The movements in oil prices are complex and, therefore, seem to be unpredictable. The traditional linear structural models have not been promising when applied to forecasting, particularly in the case of complex series such as oil prices. Although linear

Single valued conjugates and holomorphic extendibility [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
Let D be a bounded domain in the complex plane whose boundary consists of m pairwise disjoint simple closed curves where m is greater than one. Let A(bD) be the algebra of all continuous functions on bD which extend holomorphically through D. We show that a continuous function f on bD belongs to A(bD) if for each g in A(bD) the harmonic extension of Re(
