Biceps‐Augmented Reverse Remplissage for Filling of Reverse Hill‐Sachs Defects

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Reverse Hill‐Sachs lesions pose a complex challenge in the management of posterior shoulder dislocations. These lesions complicate surgical management as a result of their association with recurrent instability and further joint destruction.

Arthroscopic Rotator Cuff Repair With Autologous Biologic Augmentation Using Biceps Tendon Redirection and Incorporation

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract The long head of the biceps tendon is a valuable autologous tissue for biologic augmentation in rotator cuff repair. Redirecting the long head of the biceps tendon can enhance its role as a humeral head depressor, limiting superior humeral head migration, and improving rotator cuff force couple and shoulder biomechanics. Incorporating the long

Meiofauna communities in exposed sandy beaches on the Galician coast (NW Spain), six months after the Prestige oil spill: the role of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)

open access: yesScientia Marina, 2010
The effect of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) on Galician sandy beach ecosystems, six months after the Prestige oil spill, was evaluated using the meiobenthos at a higher taxon level as an indicator. Meiobenthos community structure, environmental

Supine‐Position Shoulder Arthroscopy Using the Anterior Portal as the Initial Approach

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Traditional shoulder arthroscopy mostly adopts the beach chair position or lateral decubitus position. Beach chair position is associated with the risk of cerebral hypoperfusion due to the vertical distance between the carotid artery and the heart, whereas lateral decubitus may induce brachial plexus palsy caused by excessive traction.
