A Back-fire to Forward Wide-Angle Beam Steering Leaky-wave Antenna Based on SSPPs
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2022We demonstrate an efficient back-fire to forward wide-angle beam steering leaky-wave antenna (LWA) based on a large dispersion gradient planar spoof surface plasmon polariton (SSPP) transmission line (TL) with split-ring units.

Ultrawideband Beam Steering at mm-Wave Frequency With Planar Dielectric Phase Transformers
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2022In this article, a new method to design an ultrawideband beam-steering antenna system is presented. The system is completely passive and suitable for millimeter-wave applications, including some in defense, where both discrete beam steering and ...

A number of concepts using the principle of the refraction of light have been developed to steer light beams. Refractive beam steering concepts involve the use of optical wedges in order to deviate a light beam. This principle is ideally suited for steering laser light since dispersion is minimal due to the monochromatic nature of the laser.

In this paper, a compact and low-profile beam steering circularly polarized folded reflectarray antenna (CPFRA) with low scan loss for wide-angle coverage is proposed and designed. In order to obtain lower scan loss over a wider beam coverage range (BCR),

Beam Steering with Linear Arrays
IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, 1983The principles and techniques of real-time imaging with phased array ultrasound scanners are reviewed. Topics include 1) the geometric optics of beam steering and focusing with a linear array in the transmit and receive modes; 2) limitations on image data acquisition due to ultrasound propagation velocity; 3) optical diffraction theory for linear ...

To reduce a risk of damage from an exposure and the guarantee of a stable receive level, in case of the system of a wireless LAN, a printed type inverted F antenna for beam-steering is designed and its characteristic is measured. A parasitic element having the optimized length and interval is attached in both sides of the printed type inverted F ...
