Experimental and numerical analysis of the cyclic behaviour of RC beam-column connections with plain reinforcing bars [PDF]
The information available in the literature about the cyclic behaviour of reinforced concrete elements with plain reinforcing bars is scarce. As a consequence, the influence of bar slippage in elements with plain bars is not yet comprehensively ...

Upgrading cyclic response of heat-damaged RC beam-column joints using CFRP sheets
In this study, experimental work is used to determine the efficacy of carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets, which are used as externally bonded reinforcement in recovering the structural performance and mitigating the failure mechanism of heat ...

Semi rigid connections and their influence on steel column behaviour. [PDF]
A review of the development of the analysis of frames with semi-rigid end restraint is given, including the treatment of frame stability and effective lengths. The available experimental data relating to the moment versus in-plane

Steel beam–column joint with discontinuous vertical reinforcing bars
The authors have previously proposed steel beam–column connections for precast concrete frames. The steel–concrete composite frames combined the advantages of the fast assembly of steel and the low cost of concrete structures.

A design criteria of beam-to-column joint panels
The performance of beam-to-column joint panels of steel frames under horizontal loading is surveyed in elastic and plastic regions. Then the influence of shear deformation of those joint panels on the frame stiffness is investigated. It is found that the frame stiffness reduces remarkably when the yielding of joint panels takes place.

Behavior of Damaged Exterior RC Beam-Column Joints Strengthened by CFRP Composites
This paper presents an experimental investigation on the behavior of retrofitted beam-column joints subjected to reversed cyclic loading. The experimental program comprises 8 external beam-column joint connection subassemblages tested in 2 phases; one ...

Experimental Tests of Steel Unstiffened Double Side Joints with Flush and Extended End Plate
Experimental tests of steel unstiffened double side bolted end-plate joints have been presented. The main aim of the conducted tests was to check the behavior of joints in an accidental situation and possibility of creating secondary mechanism, i.e ...

A Comparative Study on Beam - Column Joints with Steel and Bamboo Reinforcement [PDF]
Beam-Column joints are the critical zones in a reinforced concrete structure. The behaviour of such joints greatly affects the strength and ductility of the overall structure.
