Influence of Material Defects on the Dynamic Stability of the Bernoulli-Euler Beam [PDF]
The paper presents the results of tests on dynamic stability of Bernoulli-Euler beam with damages. Damages (cracks) were modeled using three rotational springs.

Tailoring crosstalk between localized 1D spin-wave nanochannels using focused ion beams
1D spin-wave conduits are envisioned as nanoscale components of magnonics-based logic and computing schemes for future generation electronics. À-la-carte methods of versatile control of the local magnetization dynamics in such nanochannels are highly ...

Coherent beam-beam interaction with four colliding beams [PDF]
The coherent beam-beam interaction in the absence of Landau damping is studied with a computer simulation of four space-charge-compensated colliding beams. Results are presented for the modes, phase space structures, widths, and growth rates of coherent beam-beam resonances.

Investigation of the flat beam model of the beam-beam interaction [PDF]
At the interaction point of a storage ring collider each beam is subject to perturbations due to the electromagnetic field of the counterrotating beam. For flat beams, a well-known approximation models the beam by a current sheet which is uniform in the horizontal plane, restricting the particle motion to the vertical direction. In this classical model

Simulation of the beam halo from the beam-beam interaction [PDF]
A technique for simulating the beam halo in circular ${\mathit{e}}^{+}$${\mathit{e}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$ colliders is introduced, tested, and applied. Amplitude space is divided into core and halo regions, and only halo particles are tracked saving a factor of 100 or more in CPU time.

Behavior of reinforced concrete beams loaded by transversal bending forces [PDF]
Based on the experimental research on the beams MB 25 and MB 80 to short term load and long term load, the assumption that the truss theory is based on the actual behavior of reinforced concrete beams loaded by bending until failure cannot be ...

Vibrations of cracked reinforced and prestressed concrete beams [PDF]
The dynamic behaviour of bent reinforced concrete beams in elastic range is significantly influenced by cracks caused by former loads. Considering this fact a more accurate calculation of the eigenfrequencies of the beams is available.
