High-Power External Spatial Beam Combining of 7-Channel Quantum Cascade Lasers Emitting at ~8.5 μm
Based on the demand for high-power output, a spatial beam combining 7-channel quantum cascade lasers (QCLs) is demonstrated in this paper. A “2 + 3 + 2” stepped structure is designed to convert the seven beam spots into a circular arrangement.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Research of Laser Beam Combining in Ring Fiber-Optic Delay Line
At present time widespread use of autonomous laser systems supposes reducing of supply energy, consumed by laser sources that are included in their composition and at the same time increasing of their output energy characteristics.

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Tapered Multicore Fiber for High-Power Laser Amplifiers
The problem of coherent amplification of the out-of-phase mode in tapered multicore fibers with cores arranged in a ring and in a square lattice is studied theoretically.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.
