Space-variant polarized Airy beam [PDF]
We experimentally generate an Airy beam with polarization structure while keeping its original amplitude and phase profile intact. This class of Airy beam preserves the acceleration properties. By monitoring their initial polarization structure we have provided insight concerning the self-healing mechanism of Airy beams.

Abstract Purpose We introduce the next generation of “MagicPlate” 2D monolithic pixelated semiconductor detectors – MagicPlate‐976 (MP976). It features a larger array area, higher spatial resolution, and does not require external triggering. We perform a comprehensive characterization for small‐field steep‐dose‐gradient dosimetry applications in ...

Beam Measurements of Full Stokes Parameters for the FAST L-band 19-beam Receiver [PDF]
The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) has been fully operational since 11 January 2020. We present a comprehensive analysis of the beam structure for each of the 19 feed horns on FAST's L-band receiver across the Stokes I, Q, U, and V parameters. Using an on-the-fly mapping pattern, we conducted simultaneous sky mapping using

Patient setup variation on Elekta Unity and its impact on adaptive planning
Abstract Purpose The unique design of the MR‐linac may restrict the use of effective immobilization devices, resulting in significant patient setup variations (PSVs). The purpose of this study is to analyze the PSVs on the Elekta Unity system and investigate their impact on adaptive planning.

IROC phantoms accurately detect MLC delivery errors
Abstract Purpose We evaluated the impact of random and whole‐bank multileaf collimator (MLC) delivery errors on dosimetric delivery accuracy in the Imaging and Radiation Oncology Core (IROC) phantom audits, as well as differences in delivery accuracy between the IROC phantom prescription and typical clinical fraction sizes.

Improvement of a Stiffness Tunable Mechanism by Design of Horizontally Asymmetrical Beam Structure
Stiffness tunable mechanisms are crucial for enhancing the noninvasiveness and stability of organ manipulation during laparoscopic surgeries. They allow for flexible adaptation to organ shapes in a low stiffness state, providing a larger grasping area ...

A method of predicting the energy-absorption capability of composite subfloor beams [PDF]
A simple method of predicting the energy-absorption capability of composite subfloor beam structure was developed. The method is based upon the weighted sum of the energy-absorption capability of constituent elements of a subfloor beam. An empirical data
