Spill structure in intense beams [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2003 Bipolar/BiCMOS Circuits and Technology Meeting (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37440), 2004
Fixed target studies of small branching ratio decay processes require intense beams and smooth spills. Longitudinal structure arises through collective effects, well below the coasting beam stability threshold. These structures have been observed at the Brookhaven AGS and dependence on intensity and momentum spread measured.

Nodal position control of bending mode of three- dimensional beam structures based on visualization of eigenmode formation

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2018
In a conceptual design phase of noise and vibration performance, CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) is frequently introduced to design appropriate properties of individual members.

Structural Assesment of Corroded Beams

open access: yesECS Transactions, 2006
This paper shows how the corrosion and mechanical actions can be taken into account in a simple model for the assessment of structural elements. This work is framed in the Project Benchmark des Poutres de La Rance in which several partners have participated.

Influence of the multipole order of the source on the decay of an inertial wave beam in a rotating fluid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We analyze theoretically and experimentally the far-field viscous decay of a two-dimensional inertial wave beam emitted by a harmonic line source in a rotating fluid.

A revisit to normalization methods for purpose of stress mode shapes [PDF]

open access: yesFME Transactions, 2020
In order to accurately interpret the results of modal analysis for the purpose of stress mode shapes (SMSs), this work revisits the normalization methods in computational structural dynamics.

Energy Flow Analysis of High-Frequency Flexural Vibration of Wedge Beam Structures

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2022
Wedge members with variable thickness are widely used in ship structures, aerospace structures, and building structures. Considering their application scenarios, their high-frequency vibration characteristics have important research value.

Linear modal analysis of L-shaped beam structures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this article a theoretical linear modal analysis of Euler-Bernoulli L-shaped beam structures is performed by solving two sets of coupled partial differential equations of motion.

Steady-state vibrations of a beam structure under moving horizontal force-analytical approach [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Civil Engineering
The following paper presents a dynamic analysis of a railway superstructure subjected to horizontal moving loads. The superstructure including the substructure was modelled with two infinitely long beams connected by an elastic layer. The structure rests

Coriolis Force Sliding Mode Control Method for the Rotary Motion of the Central Rigid Body-Flexible Cantilever Beam System in TBM

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2021
Beam slab structure is often encountered in a complex tunnel boring machine. Beam slab structure is subject to dynamic load, which is easy to cause fatigue damage and affect its service life.
