Startlink building system and connections for fibre reinforced polymer structures [PDF]

open access: yes
The research presented in this thesis examines various aspects on connections and joints in Pultruded Fibre Reinforced Polymeric (PFRP) structures. The work is divided into two experimental investigations on the determination of pin-bearing strength ...

Application Characteristic Analysis of Spherical Roller Bearing in Industrial Gearbox

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2016
The spherical roller bearings are widely applied in industrial gearbox, therefore the research of the running character of spherical roller bearings in gearbox is important for the designer.

Purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 for phase separation studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe detailed protocols for the purification and preparation of Marchantia polymorpha Auxin Response Factor 2 (MpARF2). This protein is fused to an MBP solubility tag and an mNG fluorescent tag and is purified from Escherichia coli. The presented procedures make it possible to study MpARF2 assemblies, which could arise from phase separation ...

An experimental based assessment of the deviation of the bearing characteristic frequencies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Slippage in the contact roller-races has always played a central role in the field of diagnostics of rolling element bearings. Due to this phenomenon, vibrations triggered by a localized damage are not strictly periodic and therefore not detectable by ...

Avidin is evolutionarily conserved in fish but dispensable for development and resistance against Streptococcus agalactiae in zebrafish

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The presence of biotin‐binding avidin proteins in fish and their biological significance are poorly characterized. We cataloged fish avidins and demonstrate that they are widely present and evolutionarily conserved. We created avd knockout zebrafish and show that zebavidin is dispensable for development and that resistance of avd knockout embryos in ...

Fault Feature Extraction for Rolling Bearing based on LMD Energy Entropy

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2019
In order to judge the running status of rolling bearing effectively in the case of small sample,by using the local mean decomposition( LMD),the rolling bearing vibration signal is decomposed.

Using cell‐free RNA to identify B‐ and T‐cell clonality for diagnosis and monitoring of B‐ and T‐cell neoplasms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using peripheral blood for determining B‐cell or T‐cell clonality is more reliable when we use cell‐free RNA (cfRNA) because cells release blood significantly more RNA than DNA. Next‐generation sequencing (NGS) of cfRNA allows us to evaluate fragment cfRNA and evaluate clonality reliably without the need for prior determination of the specific dominant

Comparative assessment of crystallographic and cryo‐EM models in the Protein Data Bank

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Raw data obtained by X‐ray crystallography or cryo‐EM result in experimental maps, ultimately fitted by atomic models. Although the physical principles are different, the final results can be viewed, compared, and evaluated in the same way. With cryogenic electron microscopy (cryo‐EM) on track to surpass X‐ray crystallography as the preferred method ...

A minimal cellulosome‐like system in Cellulosilyticum lentocellum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cellulose‐degrading bacteria typically use cellulosomes, large multi‐enzyme complexes on a scaffold protein. In Cellulosilyticum lentocellum, we characterise a far smaller arrangement, a single scaffold bound to one cellulase through a single cohesin‐dockerin interaction.

BCG vaccination potentiates oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal myeloid‐derived suppressor cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
BCG vaccination enhances oxidative phosphorylation in neonatal MDSCs, impairing their immunosuppressive function. It upregulates electron transport chain genes and mitochondrial activity, increasing ATP and oxygen consumption. Pharmacological OXPHOS inhibition partially restores suppressive capacity, confirming causality.
