Steel in Translation, 2008
In developing an effective production technology for bearing steel, attention focuses on the detection of the groups of nonmetallic inclusions that most impair the performance of IIIX15 steel. Converter production of bearing steel is promising in terms of compliance with current quality requirements.

Antimicrobial Cu-bearing stainless steel scaffolds
Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2016Copper-bearing stainless steel scaffolds with two different structures (Body Centered Cubic and Gyroid labyrinth) at two solid fractions (25% and 40%) were fabricated from both 316L powder and a mixture of 316L and elemental Cu powder using selective laser melting, and relative 316L scaffolds were served as control group.

Osteogenic ability of Cu‐bearing stainless steel
Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials, 2014AbstractA newly developed copper‐bearing stainless steel (Cu‐SS) by directly immobilizing proper amount of Cu into a medical stainless steel (317L SS) during the metallurgical process could enable continuous release of trace amount of Cu2+ions, which play the key role to offer the multi‐biofunctions of the stainless steel, including the osteogenic ...

Hardenability of bearing steel
Metal Science and Heat Treatment of Metals, 19621. Of all investigated melts the lowest hardenability was observed in steel produced by the “Dneprospetsstal'” and “Elektrostal'” plants. Melts with lowered hardenability are also produced by the Izhevsk, Chelyabinsk, “Dneprospetsstal',” 'Elektrostal'” and Slatoust plants. 2.

Chapter 10 | Stainless Bearing Steels
2022Corrosion resistance is imparted to rolling bearing steels by the addition of a minimum of approximately 14 wt.% of chromium to the composition and substitution of carbon by nitrogen. Applications requiring enhanced corrosion resistance and good cryogenic properties use steels with both chromium and nitrogen alloying.
