On readout of vibrational qubits using quantum beats
Readout of the final states of qubits is a crucial step towards implementing quantum computation in experiment. Although not scalable to large numbers of qubits per molecule, computational studies show that molecular vibrations could provide a significant (factor 2–5 in the literature) increase in the number of qubits compared to two-level systems.

Multilevel vibrational dephasing and vibrational anharmonicity from infrared photon echo beats
Abstract Vibrational photon echo experiments were performed on the asymmetric CO stretching mode of tungsten hexacarbonyl in glassy dibutylphthalate as a function of temperature using sub-picosecond infrared pulses (1976 cm −1 ) from a free electron laser. The echo decays display pronounced beats and are bi-exponential.

An FEA Investigation of the Vibration Response of the BEATS Detector Stage
The Synchrotron-light for Experimental Science and Application in the Middle East (SESAME) facility is in the process of designing, procuring, and installing a new beamline for tomography (BEATS). The BEATS experimental hutch, hosting sample and detectors, will be located 43 m away from the undulator in the synchrotron ring.

An Experimental Approach on Beating in Vibration Due to Rotational Unbalance [PDF]
This paper proposes a study in theoretical and experimental terms focused on the vibration beating phenomenon produced in particular circumstances: the addition of vibrations generated by two rotating unbalanced shafts placed inside a lathe headstock, with a flat friction belt transmission between the shafts.
