Beating pattern in radiation-induced oscillatory magnetoresistance in 2DES: coupling of plasmon-like and acoustic phonon modes

open access: yes, 2018
We present a microscopic theory on the observation of a beating pattern in the radiation-induced magnetoresistance oscillations at very low magnetic field.

Untethered Magnetic Microswimmers for Targeted Particle Transport and Flow Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work introduces magnetically actuated microswimmers to dynamically reconfigure fluid flow within a single microfluidic device. Multiple homogeneous microswimmers are independently controlled by an external magnetic field to perform translational and rotational motions, thereby inducing real‐time flow manipulation.

Quantification of Cardiomyocyte Beating Frequency Using Fourier Transform Analysis

open access: yesPhotonics, 2018
Pacemaker cardiomyocytes of the sinoatrial node (SAN) beat more rapidly than cells of the working myocardium. Beating in SAN cells responds to β-adrenergic and cholinergic signaling by speeding up or slowing, respectively.

Soft Robotic Snake with Tunable Undulatory Gait for Efficient Underwater Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study designs an underwater soft snake robot using 3D‐printed soft actuators, controlled by specific signals to generate sinusoidal undulation. Results show a positive correlation between speed and swing amplitude, with optimal performance at 2/3π phase offset, PLA tail, 1.2 voltage growth rate, and 6s undulation period achieving a maximum speed ...
