Arthroscopic Segmental Labral Reconstruction Using a Presutured Iliotibial Band Allograft Soaked in Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Labral reconstruction is a surgical procedure in which a graft is used to replace irreparable acetabular labral tissue. Biologic augmentation with bone marrow aspirate concentrate harvested from the ipsilateral iliac crest is increasingly used to enhance graft incorporation and potentially improve functional outcomes, especially in patients ...

Less‐Invasive Capsulotomy Strategy in Hip Arthroscopy: The Gluteus Minimus Sign as a Visual Landmark for the Joint Capsule Based on Cadaveric Analysis

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Hip arthroscopy requires a capsulotomy to achieve adequate visualization and access; however, an excessive incision can increase the risk of postoperative instability. This technical note describes a less‐invasive capsulotomy technique guided by the “gluteus minimus sign,” a fibrous membrane connecting the main tendon of the gluteus minimus to

Comparing the Sources of Sediment Retained by Beaver Dams and Beaver Dam Analogs

open access: yesWater Resources Research
Beavers modify riverine systems by building dams that alter downstream fluxes of water and sediment. Where beavers have been lost and stream channels degraded, beaver dam analogs (BDAs) are being used to mimic the effects of beaver engineering.

Observational Monitoring Records Downstream Impacts of Beaver Dams on Water Quality and Quantity in Temperate Mixed-Land-Use Watersheds

open access: yesData
Beaver populations in the U.S. northeast are rising, increasing the number of beaver dams and ponds in suburban watersheds. These new beaver ponds may impact the way that harmful algal blooms occur by changing biogeochemical cycling and sediment ...

Characterization of Cantaloupe, Grape, Pumpkin, and Tomato Seed Oils From Xinjiang: Oxidative Stability, Volatile‐Compound Analysis, and Sensory Evaluation

open access: yesFood Chemistry International, EarlyView.
This study compares oxidative stability, fatty acid profiles, volatile compounds, and sensory attributes of four Xinjiang seed oils. Distinct aldehyde‐driven aroma patterns and compositional differences were revealed, providing a scientific basis for quality evaluation and valorization of underutilized plant seed oils in food applications.
