On Bed Form Resistance and Bed Load Transport in Vegetated Channels
A set of laboratory experiments were conducted to study the impact of vegetation on bed form resistance and bed load transport in a mobile bed channel. Vegetation stems were simulated by using arrays of emergent polyvinyl chloride (PVC) rods in several staggered configurations.

Experimental study on the impact of bed forms on bed load transport in mountain streams
The flume experiments of bed load transport in the conditions of highslope shallow water flow were carried out in order to explore the impact of flow hydraulics and bed forms on bed load transport in gravel-cobble rivers in mountainous areas.

Study on the characteristics of bed forms developed under unsteady flows
The main objective of this study is to investigate the morphological response and variability in the wavelength, height, steepness of bed forms developed over a quasi-uniform, coarse-sand bed under unsteady flows, with zero sediment feed condition ...

Movement of sediment over periodic bed [PDF]
The movement of bed load along the closed conduit can lead to a loss of stability of the bed surface, when bed waves arise at the bed of the channel. Investigation of the development of bed waves is associated with the possibility of determining of the ...

Fixed bed adsorption treatment of effluent of battery recycling unit to remove Pb(II) using steam-activated granular carbon [PDF]
Battery recycling generates large amount of effluent which contains the toxic Pb(II) beyond the permissible limit. This effluent was treated for the removal of Pb(II) by fixed bed adsorption onto steam-activated granular carbon.
