In Situ Amine Formation to Modulate MOF‐Derived PdIn N‐Doped Carbon Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An amine‐assisted approach converts PdIn‐MOF into PdIn intermetallic nanoparticles embedded in N‐doped carbon. In situ‐generated amines trigger early Pd nucleation, producing smaller PdIn domains than direct pyrolysis. Amine sterics and basicity tune composition and particle size, while solvent and amine co‐determine textural features.

Decoupling Activation and Preservation: Architectural Design Principles of Organic Frameworks for Selective Photocatalytic Methane Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Selective methane (CH4) photooxidation emerges from architectural decoupling of activation and preservation. Programmable organic semiconductor frameworks spatially organize oxidative flux and intermediate residence, separating reaction zones from product domains to synchronize activation strength with stabilization and establish a selective oxidation ...

A study of the spatio-temporal behaviour of bed load transport rate fluctuations

open access: yes, 2014
This thesis addresses the problem of a statistical description of the transport of sediment as bed load. It highlights the role of fluctuations arising during the transport process, and their impact on macroscopic averages. The results presented here are based on four experimental studies. Two of them were published recently by Böhm et al.

Topology‐Orchestrated Multi‐physical Energy Control in Turtle Shell‐Inspired Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A turtle shell‐inspired lattice metamaterial efficiently manages acoustic, fluid‐thermal, and mechanical energy flows simultaneously. The unique hybrid‐coupling architecture achieves superior sound attenuation via pore‐cavity resonance, facilitates effective airflow transport, and maximizes mechanical energy absorption through multistage cell ...

Bedform effect on the bed-load transport rate using a comparison between two bedform (flat and standing bedform)

open access: yesPeriodicals of Engineering and Natural Sciences (PEN), 2020
In this research, the impact of bedform on the bed - load transport rate was studied through experiments. The experiments were conducted on two cases, one when the bedform was flat, and the other when the bedform was standing wave. The arrival time is the time of bed - load reaches a reference surface at the end of the flume.

Engineering Pluripotent Stem Cells‐Derived Inner Ear Organoids With Enhanced Maturation and Reproducibility by Micro‐Topographical Cues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Micro‐topographical cues applied through temporally controlled microscale confinement improve the reproducibility, spatial organization, and neurosensory‐associated features of pluripotent stem cell‐derived inner ear organoids. Integration with a vascularized organoid platform further enables controlled investigation of vascular‐epithelial interactions
