Enhanced Biocatalysis in Nanofluidic Membrane Reactors With Goldilocks Nanopores for Enzymes
We show that enzyme confinement within the three‐dimensionally interconnected nanochannels of a polyurea molecular network membrane, featuring pore‐size tunability to match the enzyme size, enables a highly active nanofluidic reactor platform. Stable continuous‐flow operation for >200 h and a 30 000‐fold increase in specific space‐time yield over ...

This study reveals how a zirconium‐based metal–organic framework (UiO‐66) stabilizes copper species during CO2 hydrogenation to methanol. Operando X‐ray spectroscopy, electron microscopy, and theory show that zinc promotes highly dispersed copper and suppresses particle growth, while the framework dynamically responds to reaction intermediates.

Metabolic turnover of bone induced by microgravity in head-down tilting bed rest
To clarify the pathophysiology of bone loss and develop a prevention method, the head-down tilting bed rest (HDT-BR) experiment was performed. Twelve healthy males, for 20 days of - six degrees HDT-BR experiment with previous and subsequent controlled periods of 5 days. This experiment induced two-typed bone metabolism. In one group, the bone metabolic

Regulating Copper Nuclearity in Metal–Organic Frameworks for the Hydrogenation of Carbon Dioxide
CO2 hydrogenation on Cu‐metalated MOFs at gas–solid and liquid–solid interfaces depend strongly on the nuclearity of the Cu, which can be adjusted via the density of defects and the synthesis process. In both reaction regimes, methanol formation is favored on Cu clusters rather than on isolated Cu sites, highlighting the critical role of metal ...

Application of Intelligent Systems in CO2 Management: State of the Art and Future Prospects
ABSTRACT Machine learning (ML) integration is becoming increasingly popular in advancing the 4th industrial revolution, known as Industry 4.0. This review paper examines ML applications in CO2 management stages: emission, capture, and conversion. ML models, including multiple linear regression (MLR), multiple nonlinear regression (MNLR), and artificial
