Transportational Cyclic Steps Created by Submarine Long-Runout Turbidity Currents
In recent years, it has become a common understanding among researchers that one of the significant agents for forming a variety of submarine geomorphologies is turbidity currents that travel long distances, so-called long-runout turbidity currents.

Basal Pressure Variations Induced by a Turbulent Flow Over a Wavy Surface
Turbulent flows over wavy surfaces give rise to the formation of ripples, dunes and other natural bedforms. To predict how much sediment these flows transport, research has focused mainly on basal shear stress, which peaks upstream of the highest ...

Subaqueous multiscale bedform morphology dynamics in a mountainous macrotidal estuary
Bedforms in macrotidal estuaries and deltas are distinguished from those in rivers and oceans due to the tidally-driven water depth variations and the varying hydrodynamic processes resulting from the interaction between tidal and fluvial flows.

In this research, the impact of bedform on the bed - load transport rate was studied through experiments. The experiments were conducted on two cases, one when the bedform was flat, and the other when the bedform was standing wave. The arrival time is the time of bed - load reaches a reference surface at the end of the flume.

Experimental bedforms by saline density currents
Bedforms are sedimentary features that can be generated on the seafloor by the interaction between density currents and mobile beds. Developing knowledge about the hydraulic and sedimentary processes involved during these events is in the interest of ...

On modeling the variability of bedform dimensions [PDF]
: Bedforms are irregular features that cannot easily be described by mean values. The variations in the geometric dimensions affect the bed roughness, and they are important in the modeling of vertical sorting and in modeling the thickness of cross ...

Back-flow ripples in troughs downstream of unit bars: Formation, preservation and value for interpreting flow conditions [PDF]
Back-flow ripples are bedforms created within the lee-side eddy of a larger bedform with migration directions opposed or oblique to that of the host bedform.
