Bio‐Inspired Biopolymeric Implantable Platform for Localized and Sustained Drug Delivery in Solid Tumor Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bio‐inspired biopolymeric implantable drug delivery platform enables localized and sustained release of 7‐ethyl‐10‐hydroxycamptothecin (SN‐38) in solid tumor treatment. The three‐dimensional (3D) structured crosslinked‐chitosan implants are fabricated via 3D‐printed molds and provide drug release over 3 months, significantly inhibiting tumor growth ...

3D Hydrodynamic Flow Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Continuous‐ and stop‐flow lithography are widely used to fabricate multi‐dimensional microstructures whose cross‐sectional morphology is dictated by the flow profile of multiple co‐flowing streams. Here, we introduce three‐dimensional hydrodynamic flow lithography (3D HFL), a platform for programmable generation of multi‐layered flow profiles ...

Shell Beds

open access: yes, 2015
Dense deposits of biologic hard parts more than 2 mm in size in estuarine and other environments are generally defined as shell concentrations . They are also known as coquinas, lumachelles, or shell gravels, as well as the more familiar term “shell beds.”

THE BAUXITES AND JELAR - BEDS

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 1993
Minor bauxite deposits and occurrences were formed in technically disturbed environments in the middle part of the Adriatic geotectonic unit in Dinarides, contemporary with the clastic Jelar-beds in the Late Lutetian time.

Cellular Responses to Mechanical Cues Across Scales: From Fundamental Insights to Translational Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Macrophage Membrane‐Camouflaged Nanozyme Microneedles Restore Immunovascular Homeostasis Through SPP1‐ApoE Signaling in Diabetic Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Macrophage membrane‐coated Cu/Zn‐MOF nanozyme microneedles (MNs) reprogram the diabetic wound microenvironment through localized, minimally invasive delivery. By suppressing M1‐like macrophage activation while promoting extracellular matrix deposition and angiogenesis, this biomimetic platform accelerates diabetic wound repair.
