Hydrostatic pressure activates HIF‐1α via β‐catenin to promote stemness in breast cancer cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
To mimic the elevated intestinal fluid pressure in breast cancers, we loaded human breast cancer cells (MCF‐7, MDA‐MB‐453, and BT‐474) to 50 mmHg hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure exposure upregulated HIF‐1α and induced stemness in MCF‐7 and BT‐474 cells.

Memory and Resting‐State Connectivity in Acute Transient Global Amnesia: A Case–Control fMRI Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Transient global amnesia (TGA) is a striking model of isolated amnesia. While hippocampal lesions are well described, the network‐level mechanisms and the precise neuropsychological profile remain debated. Our objective was thus to characterize functional and neuropsychological correlates of acute TGA and their ...

Presença de material eletrodenso sob a membrana vitelina do ovo de Scaptotrigona postica latr. (Hymenoptera, Meliponinae) durante a fase inicial da embriogenese Presence of electrodense material under the viteline membrane of Scaptotrigona postica Latr. egg (Hymenoptera, Meliponinae) during the embryogenesis initial fase

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 1989
The present paper reports the presence of an electrondense material of unknown nature distributed under the viteline membrane of Scaptotrigona postica egg. The dorsal side layer is thicker then the ventral one.

Efficacy of Inebilizumab in N‐MOmentum Trial Participants With or Without Prior Immunosuppressants

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This post hoc analysis examined the impact of prior immunosuppressants on the long‐term efficacy and safety of inebilizumab, a cluster of differentiation 19+ B‐cell–depleting monoclonal antibody, in participants with aquaporin‐4–seropositive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder from the N‐MOmentum trial (NTC02200770).
