Increasing Respiration Weakens the Carbon Sink Over Two Decades in a Temperate Deciduous Forest

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology Communications, Volume 1, Issue 3, September 2026.
Using a 20‐year eddy covariance record from a temperate deciduous forest, we show that net carbon uptake declined over two decades.
