The Vantage Point Bees Algorithm
In this paper, an implementation of vantage point local search procedure for the Bees Algorithm (BA) in combinatorial domains is presented. In its basic version, the BA employs a local search combined with random search for both continuous and combinatorial domains.

Artificial bee colony algorithm: A component-wise analysis using diversity measurement
A swarm-based metaheuristic algorithm, like artificial bee colony (ABC), embraces four key elements of collective intelligence: positive feedback, negative feedback, multiple interactions, and fluctuation. Fluctuation refers to population diversity which

Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm with Directed Scout [PDF]
Abstract As a relatively new model, the Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm (ABC) has shown impressive success in solving optimization problems. Nevertheless, its efficiency is still not satisfactory for some complex optimization problems. This paper has modified ABC and its other recent variants to improve its performance by modify the scout ...

Efficient Algorithms for the Bee-Identification Problem
The bee-identification problem, formally defined by Tandon, Tan and Varshney (2019), requires the receiver to identify "bees" using a set of unordered noisy measurements. In this previous work, Tandon, Tan, and Varshney studied error exponents and showed that decoding the measurements jointly results in a significantly smaller error exponent.
