The Behavioral Economics of Smoking [PDF]
Evidence that economic principles may be employed to predict the rates at which cigarettes are consumed is presented from several laboratory experiments. In these experiments, cigarette-deprived smokers were required to make a effortful response to earn cigarette puffs.

VO2 Oscillator Circuits Optimized for Ultrafast, 100 MHz‐Range Operation
The present study demonstrates ultrasmall (≈30 nm) VO2 Mott memristor‐based oscillators which enter the >100 MHz frequency range via device scaling and optimization of the circuit layout for high frequency operation. Time‐resolved investigation of switching dynamics along with circuit‐level and physics‐based electrothermal simulations identify physical

Narrative Economics: A Systematic Literature Review [PDF]
Over the last few years, scholars in economics have come to acknowledge that stories and shared beliefs can shape economic outcomes just as strongly as data or policy measures. This idea is central to the concept of “Narrative Economics”.

Direct recyling of Li‐ion battery materials promises a low‐cost path towards a secure domestic supply of critical materials for batteries. Using cathode material from an end‐of‐life commercial Li‐ion cell, this work identifies the primary degradation mechanisms that diminish the performance of directly reused cathode materials and includes a discussion

Behavioral Economics and the SEC
Investors face myriad investment alternatives and seemingly limitless information concerning those alternatives. Not surprisingly, many commentators contend that investors frequently fall short of the ideal investor posited by the rational actor model. Investors are plagued with a variety of behavioral biases (such as, among others, the hindsight bias,

Sustainable Recovery and Reuse of Hard Carbon From Scrap and End‐of‐Life Sodium‐Ion Batteries
As sodium‐ion battery (SIB) technology advances, sustainable end‐of‐life recycling is crucial. This study presents a direct recycling method for hard carbon (HC) using low‐temperature binder negation at 300 °C under nitrogen. Retaining structural integrity, recycled HC achieves 86–89% capacity retention over 200 cycles.

This review discusses the integrated pathway of CO2 capture and its direct electrochemical conversion. It begins by discussing CO2 capture chemistries and solvent systems, followed by a detailed analysis of various CO2 release mechanisms. Key principles of reactor and catalyst design for direct CO2 electroreduction from capture media are then ...
