On Autistic Behavior Model

2019 Spring Simulation Conference (SpringSim), 2019
Assuming that a behavior of low-functioning persons affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is related to the abstraction ability deficit we propose a simple model in which this ability is described by a distance function $d_{q}$(A,B)= $\Vert$ A-B$\Vert_{q}$, q$\in$ [0,$\infty$], measuring differences between patterns.

Animal Models of Ejaculatory Behavior

Current Pharmaceutical Design, 2005
Premature ejaculation is generally regarded the most frequent male ejaculatory complaint and has been considered a psychosexual disorder with psychogenic aetiology. The efficacy of various antidepressants, however, to delay ejaculation in men and to pharmacologically treat premature ejaculation suggests a strong neurobiological involvement. Most of our

On modeling program behavior

Proceedings of the November 16-18, 1971, fall joint computer conference on - AFIPS '71 (Fall), 1971
This is a paper about the history of the working set model for program behavior. It traces briefly the origins and bases of the idea and some of the results subsequently obtained. The physical context is a hierarchical memory system consisting of a severely limited quantity of main (directly-addressable) storage and an essentially unlimited quantity of

Optimality Models in Behavioral Biology

SIAM Review, 2001
Summary: The action of natural selection results in organisms that are good at surviving and reproducing. We show how this intuitive idea can be given a formal definition in terms of fitness and reproductive value. An optimal strategy maximizes fitness, and reproductive value provides a common currency for comparing different actions.

Modeling Online User Behavior

2008 IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering, 2008
A framework for online user behavior soft modeling is presented in this work. Behavior models of users in dynamic virtual environments has been described in the literature in terms of timed transition automata which can be compiled in a planning domain.

The Renewal Model for Program Behavior

SIAM Journal on Computing, 1975
A model for program behavior, the renewal model, is introduced; its properties are discussed, and its ability to model the behavior of real programs is investigated. Using this renewal model, several theorems are derived which describe the performance of the working set replacement algorithm.

Modeling and Prediction of Human Behavior

Neural Computation, 1999
We propose that many human behaviors can be accurately described as a set of dynamic models (e.g., Kalman filters) sequenced together by a Markov chain. We then use these dynamic Markov models to recognize human behaviors from sensory data and to predict human behaviors over a few seconds time. To test the power of this modeling approach, we report an

Modeling and Discovering Cancelation Behavior

2017
This paper presents a novel extension to the process tree model to support cancelation behavior, and proposes a novel process discovery technique to discover sound, fitting models with cancelation features. The proposed discovery technique relies on a generic error oracle function, and allows us to discover complex combinations of multiple, possibly ...
