Entropy generation analysis for magnetohydrodynamic flow of chemically reactive fluid due to an accelerated plate

open access: yesBeni-Suef University Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences
Background The mixed convection flow of viscous fluid due to an oscillating plate is inspected. The external heating effects and chemical reaction assessment are predicted. Moreover, the flow applications of the entropy generation phenomenon are claimed.

Carbon Nanotubes Multi‐Functional Approach in Self‐Healable Composites: A Review

open access: yesNano Select, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Among many of the allotropes of carbon, the nanomaterial “Carbon Nanotubes” (CNTs), has shown significant potential due to its remarkable properties. The self‐healing phenomenon, which focuses on structural integrity, is attracting researchers to explore the capabilities of nanocomposites, aiming to increase service life, enhance durability ...

Groundwater Temperature Processes and Patterns: Implications for Stream Thermal Regimes

open access: yesWIREs Water, Volume 13, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Shallow groundwater temperatures are controlled by ground surface temperatures and are influenced by climate change and land cover changes. Deeper groundwater temperature is constant year‐round, making it cooler (warmer) in the summer (winter) than surface water, and exhibits a lagged response to surface warming.

Flow field and Reynolds stress distribution in low turbulance natural convection in a triangular cavity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Triangular enclosures are typical configurations found in attic spaces of residential as well as industrial pitched-roof buildings. Previous studies on airflow within such spaces have focused on the laminar range.

Self-healing composites: A review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Self-healing composites are composite materials capable of automatic recovery when damaged. They are inspired by biological systems such as the human skin which are naturally able to heal themselves.

Linear Reservoir Behaviour Across Large Spatial Scales

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 40, Issue 2, February 2026.
The fundamental role of percolation processes in recession curves is reflected in an increase of relaxation times to a quasi‐universal time scale. The increase in relevance of the linear recession model with increasing spatial scales emerges naturally from the percolation result relating cluster surface to cluster area (or perimeter to surface ...

Roll convection of binary fluid mixtures in porous media

open access: yes, 2009
We investigate theoretically the nonlinear state of ideal straight rolls in the Rayleigh-B\'enard system of a fluid layer heated from below with a porous medium using a Galerkin method. Applying the Oberbeck-Boussinesq approximation, binary mixtures with

Entropy generation in a micropolar fluid flow through an inclined channel

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2016
In this paper the entropy generation is studied due to micropolar fluid flow through an inclined channel of parallel plates with constant pressure gradient.
