Multipartite quantum nonlocality using functional Bell inequalities

Frontiers in Optics 2009/Laser Science XXV/Fall 2009 OSA Optics & Photonics Technical Digest, 2009
We show that arbitrary functions of continuous variables can be used to generate tests of local hidden variable theories. The effect of nonideal detectors and noise is included, revealing that optimized functional inequalities are robust.

The Bell inequalities and nonlocality

Physics Letters A, 1982
Abstract The Bell inequalities give a criterion for nonlocality in theories where it is permissible to speak of the values of unmeasured variables. It is shown that the same criterion may be used in theories where this is not permissible. According to the criterion, quantum mechanics is nonlocal.

Quantum nonlocality and Bell's inequalities

Annals of the Israel Physical Society, 1996
A number of additional assumptions is discussed playing a role in derivations of the Bell inequalities along with the locality condition. An analogy between quantum mechanics and statistical thermodynamics is exploited to demonstrate that the ex istence of conditional probabilities p(ai|,Lambda)generally assumed in stochastic hidden variables theories,

Bell’s inequalities versus teleportation: What is nonlocality?

Physical Review Letters, 1994
Summary: The nonlocality responsible for violations of Bell's inequalities is not equivalent to that used in teleportation, although they probably are two aspects of the same physical property. There are mixed states which do not violate any Bell type inequality, but still can be used for teleportation.

Characterizing Bell nonlocality and EPR steering

Science China Physics, Mechanics & Astronomy, 2018
Bell nonlocality and Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) steering are very important quantum correlations in composite quantum systems. Bell nonlocality of a bipartite state is observed in some local quantum measurements, while EPR steering was first observed by Schrodinger in the context of famous EPR paradox.

Objectivity, nonlocality, and the Bell inequalities

Physics Letters A, 1983
It is argued that the Bell inequalities are not a specific feature of local hidden variables theories, but obtain both for local and nonlocal theories that are objectivistic. A nonobjectivistic theory is constructed reproducing the quantum mechanical correlations obtained in realisations of the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen-Bohm experiment.

Bell Nonlocality: Guaranteeing Unclonable Quantum Teleportation

Quantum teleportation, a cornerstone of quantum information science, allows for the transfer of an unknown quantum state without physically moving the associated quantum particle. This process critically relies on shared entanglement and classical communication.
