Embedded Bell-state analysis

Physical Review A, 1998
We discuss a method for distinguishing the four orthogonal Bell states of two entangled particles. Because the scheme relies only on linear optical elements, it should be realizable with current technology. The new feature is that the Bell states must be embedded in a larger Hilbert space.

CONDITIONS FOR BIPARTITE GENERAL BELL STATES

International Journal of Quantum Information, 2010
Utilizing the notation in Refs. 10 and 11, we revisit general bipartite Bell state for any (d × d) dimensional systems. In particular, we bring out the conditions for general bipartite Bell state and find out the relation between general Bell states and the u(d) group. Furthermore, we construct local unitary complete set for quantum dense coding based

CONSTRUCTING MAXIMALLY MULTIQUBIT ENTANGLED STATE VIA BELL-PAIR STATE

International Journal of Quantum Information, 2011
Brown et al. and Borras et al. have explored numerical optimization procedures to search for highly entangled five- and six-qubit states. Here, we give a relation between the genuine multiqubit entangled state and Bell state for 4-, 5-, and 6-qubit systems. And the general method to construct maximally multipartite entangled state is also presented.

Experimental Bell-State Analysis

Europhysics Letters (EPL), 1994
State analysis of the joint system of two two-state particles is necessary for new types of quantum communication and experiments on Bell's theorem. It is shown how perfect quantum correlations occurring in two-photon interference effects can be utilized for the analysis of the so-called Bell states.

Entanglement of macroscopic Bell states

2013 Conference on Lasers & Electro-Optics Europe & International Quantum Electronics Conference CLEO EUROPE/IQEC, 2013
In this work we focus our attention on the correlation properties of a new class of bright nonclassical states of light, which are called the macroscopic Bell states [1,2]. These states are of interest in quantum optics due to their rarely combined two properties: brightness and quantumness.

Bell's inequality for mixed states

Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1992
Violation of Bell's inequality for mixed states is considered. The authors show that a mixture of states that are macroscopically essentially equivalent may suppress the violation. Thus in general the inequality will not be violated by mixed states (except very special ones).

Semiconductor-Superconductor Bell-state Analyzer

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2016
We propose a scheme for complete Bell-state analysis by Cooper-pair-based two-photon absorption in superconducting-proximity based semiconductor photodetectors. We show high detection purity of the specified Bell-state. The demonstrated effects can have important implications on quantum-information.
