Stable Synapse‐Like Memory Switching in N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Monolayers
We report a redox‐active N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) monolayer showing synapse‐like behavior via proton‐coupled electron transfer (PCET). These quinone‐functionalized NHCs form dense self‐assembled monolayers and highly stable molecular junctions. Bias‐driven PCET switches quinone/hydroquinone states, producing reversible hysteresis and spike‐timing ...

Abstract Premise Changing climates are leading to more frequent and severe heat waves, potentially threatening plant populations. Both acclimation to stress and selection for heat‐escape or heat‐resistance phenotypes occur during heat waves. However, plastic responses and selection do not necessarily interact cohesively—even producing trait responses ...

Proximity‐Induced Transfer of a Mass Tag Enables Direct Profiling of Active Matrix Metalloproteases
A proximity‐induced, mass‐encoded activity‐based protein profiling (ABPP) approach transfers a MALDI‐detectable α‐cyano‐4‐hydroxycinnamic acid (CHCA) tag directly to active proteases. This tag enables the direct, multiplexed, and quantitative detection of enzyme activity in complex proteomes without enrichment or purification.

MOF‐CAPodes are introduced by pairing various p‐MOFs with an n‐MOF as electrode materials in a battery‐like assembly. The devices achieve high figures of merit (RRI = 23.5; RRII = 94.4%) and perform excellently in prototypical logic gates (AND, OR) highlighting a new direction for ionological systems based on electroactive MOFs.

Objective Targeted therapies for facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) are progressing through clinical trials. Electrical impedance myography (EIM) provides a noninvasive biomarker of muscle composition that may be valuable especially in early phase trials. This study evaluated EIM data from a multicenter FSHD cohort over 24 months.

This study explores enzyme‐responsive nanoparticles for targeted antimicrobial release in inflamed oral environments. Nanoparticles formed by complexing peptides and chlorhexidine respond to human leukocyte elastase and release chlorhexidine selectively. P7 (ECAAPVCE)‐based formulations show optimal properties and stability, with antimicrobial activity
