Tissue engineering and regenerative medicine strategies for the female breast

open access: yesJournal of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 2, Page 369-387, February 2020., 2020
Abstract The complexity of mammary tissue and the variety of cells involved make tissue regeneration an ambitious goal. This review, supported by both detailed macro and micro anatomy, illustrates the potential of regenerative medicine in terms of mammary gland reconstruction to restore breast physiology and morphology, damaged by mastectomy.

Integrin α7 is overexpressed and correlates with higher pathological grade, increased T stage, advanced TNM stage as well as worse survival in clear cell renal cell carcinoma patients: A retrospective study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, Volume 34, Issue 1, January 2020., 2020
Abstract Objective This study aimed to explore the association of integrin α7 with clinicopathological characteristics and overall survival (OS) in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) patients. Methods 179 ccRCC patients who underwent nephrectomy were included in this retrospective study.

Collecting duct (Bellini duct) renal cell carcinoma: a clinical case and literature review

open access: yesВестник урологии
A rare subtype of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is Bellini collecting duct carcinoma, also known as medullary renal carcinoma or distal nephron carcinoma, which accounts for 0.4-2.0% of all RCC cases.

De Novo Gene Transcription of Connexin Mediates Cytoplasmic Fluid Exchange and Flocking Transitions in Physiological and Cancerous Epithelial Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 6, 30 January 2026.
EGF‐induced de novo transcription of connexins Cx26 and Cx31 promotes flocking behavior that fluidizes epithelia and enables coordinated collective migration. Connexin‐driven cytoplasmic exchange mechanistically links growth‐factor signaling to invasive dynamics.

Single nucleotide polymorphisms in the cannabinoid CB2 receptor: Molecular pharmacology and disease associations

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 181, Issue 15, Page 2391-2412, August 2024.
Abstract Preclinical evidence implicating cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2) in various diseases has led researchers to question whether CB2 genetics influence aetiology or progression. Associations between conditions and genetic loci are often studied via single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) prevalence in case versus control populations.

The establishment of kidney cancer organoid line in drug testing

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 13, Issue 12, June 2024.
Abstract Introduction Kidney cancer is a common urological malignancy worldwide with an increasing incidence in recent years. Among all subtypes, renal cell carcinoma (RCC) represents the most predominant malignancy in kidney. Clinicians faced a major challenge to select the most effective and suitable treatment regime for patients from a wide range of
